Favorite MM album
Mine's a toss up between Moon/Antarctica and Lonesome Crowded West. The songwriting on both is great, but I find M/A better in terms of instrumentals.

if its stricktly modest mouse then i would have to say we were dead befor the ship even sank but if its just isaac then definitly sharpen your teeth
but i think Nirvana was over rated. Wayyyyyyyy over rated.
sorrrriez
gonna have to say long drive.
so many memories attached, it actually makes me cry if i listen to it.
i like it ALMOST as much as i like the nirvana album 'bleach' and if you knew me even a little bit, that statement would ROCK YOUR WORLD.
My favorite album by Isaac Brock isnt under Modest Mouse. I would have to say Sharpen Your Teeth is isaacs masterpiece. He was able to be completely free when he came out with it. He could do whatever he wanted, and with all his other albums there were many songs he had to take off. I always keep my copy of Sharpen Your Teeth safe.
It has always been a toss up of Interstate 8 and Building Nothing Out of Something. Building Nothing Out of Something is such a great compilation, but I love the live tracks and especially "Edit the Sad Parts" off Interstate 8.
Long Drive
lonesome crowded west, or the next one
Building Nothing Out of Something
The next is a tie between all the rest of their albums for a very close second..
It's hard for me to choice which MM album is my favorite. Building Something out of Nothing.. has a lot of meaning to me for it was the first album that made me fall in love with this band. My favorite ol' school album is by far Everywhere and his nasty palour.(sp)
Maybe one day we will get a chance to ask GOD Himself and for once lay the debate to peaceful rest. I struggle everyday, no every minute with this question and...................
OMG An epiphany has occurred!
The best Modest Mouse album is ALWAYS the next one!!!!!
case closed.
its always been hard for me, but building nothing out of something has to be my favourite for reasons unknown, then lonesome crowded west, or the moon & antarctica.
The newest 2 CDs were awesome in their own way, and I'm annoyed by how some people are always ranting about how old MM was so much better and the new stuff is crap, 'cus the new stuff is still awesome. The old CDs were pretty sweet though.
Hard to choose a favorite though... I think I might say Lonesome Crowded West.
