Parachutes by Coldplay is One of the most romantic albums I have heard. i loved Spies, Easy to Please, Trouble and Beautiful World.
Long drive was my first album..breakthrough was my first obsession!!!
I first remember being in middle school hearing it for the first time and it blew my f***ing mind!
I spent the next year playing that album over, and over, and over..its like I ate, drank, showered Modest Mouse!
I got one, two, three, four, five, six six six..(I was hooked)
open the curtain and let in some sky..damn this song makes me so happy!

Lonesome crowded west was the first modest mouse album that I bought.
Janis Joplin was the first album I bought out of all music from what I can remember.
i like parachutes- old coldplay was good.
now they sound like U2.
so bleh.
My first album was "Parachutes" by Coldplay. Great album, despite what alt rock fans say about Coldplay.
yeah, i was actually in 7th grade, which means i had a portable CD player, which means i had THIS cd on, and i was sitting outside and my girl at the time (EW, jessyca, such a slut) was doing that half sitting in front of me, half in my lap thing, and she says something and i couldn't ever really stand hearing her talk, so i just said 'HONK!' and grabbed, and she thought i was being spontaneous and not just bored with her so she giggled and did that gross 'i'm going to get all over you in the middle of a public place' thing. if it was the first time it was with a girl i liked (the ONLY girl i can really see as a person) then a mix she made was playing, and the song 'seattle' by The Classic Crime was on. it was a great mix, it had everything from moxy fruvous to mindless self-indulgence to fecal matter. she's really a great girl, she's the kind of person that CBGBs was talking about when they added 'OMFUG' under the banner. it's the kind of thing that makes you hate how stuff never really works out.
at any rate- i can't think of a time when there isn't music playing for me unless i'm out of the house, and even then, i blast car radios and friend's stereos and anything else i can think of.
she even got me an MP3 player, but the music on it f***s with my head so i can't use it.
my music when i was this little was so cool- i had modest mouse, nirvana, eve6, sublime, the violent femmes, i was an AWESOME 4th grader.
My first album that i bought myself was The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips. Amazing CD. It took more than 2 years to record
haha. But what a coincidence, i think my second album was Silent Alarm as well. But i think that was a present, though.
My first boobie touch was outside at a park. And there were birds chirping. So we can say i was listening to Medication from Building Nothing out of Something. Am i right?
I think my first CD I ever really bought was Silent Alarm by Bloc Party, cause I used to pirate music like a mofo, then I had this epiphany and if I like an album, then I buy it. So then I started buying albums. Silent Alarm is ace though.
But what was playing when I touched my first "boobie"? Nothing was really playing, I was just making out with her. But I could probably say, judging from it being Halloween and the beginning of my Modest Mouse fanaticism, I can safely say either Trucker's Atlas or Lounge (Closing Time). That good enough?
