There is so much out there to soak up. I particularly like the howls of Brock's voice. And although I am a Girl and a Mom I can still appreciate great music when I hear it. And also because of the kids my mind can be numb so I might not have such witty statements has you guys so I might just add a yeah what he said.

My favourite album. What more is there to say? I have too many favourite tracks...
this is my FAVORITE album!!!!!! ilike the older ones better........ i dont now why. OCEAN BREATHES SALTY is my FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!! <3
I personally do not agree that girls have bad taste in music cuz i know for a fact that I don't like Hannah Montana and stuff like that. People who are in their later teens years that listen to that need to grow up cuz that is honestly pretty lame. I love this album and I do like Float On and the other songs a lot but they do have other amazing albums as well.
Best album GNFPWLBN, Black Cadillacs ^^
I'm happy that Modest Mouse appeals to both genders.
I'm closing this argument girls have a worse taste in music case in point Hanna Montana and the Jonas Brothers don't have a single male fan so case closed dudes have better taste.
and Blame it on the Tetons is the best song on the planet.
I also prefer the older Modest Mouse music but I love Modest Mouse all together.
My favorite song from this album is Blame it on the Tetons.
half the stuff you type, i have no clue what you are talking about. Its all over the place. metrostation... brain damage? Man, youre crazy. I cant decipher your crazy posts.
what's next? VOTING? pfft.
at least they don't let you pee standing up.
my eternal paramour listens to grunge. like me. she has 4.8 hours of nirvana on her computer.
her song is 'wild world' by Cat Stevens. she was singing offspring in her training pants, and i overlook the fact that she was singing N*SYNC in her training BRA. she now rocks to muse.
but she IS the exception to the rule.
*loves metrostation*
anyway. so kids numb your mind, eh? do you ever say that?
hi sweetie, mommy loves you, but you've caused her brain damage by being on this earth, now go play legos with your brother. or do you just kind of post stuff online?
i like float on because it's like... yeah. it's float on. that's about all you really gotta say.
'talkin' shit about a pretty sunset' i think is a better example of isaacian prose, but float on is spotless isaacian poetry.
i think that the chord progressions that isaac chooses to play speak to a vast compositional understanding being undermined by less than steady guitar technique- i may be wrong, he doesn't ever play LEAD guitar, his lines are usually just little licks thrown over the top of the mix. i think however, that the stringed part of 'parting of the sensory' was a perfect example of HOLY SHIT THIS IS GOOD.
Wayne Coyne was almost killed when he was kid. It says in a biography thing that when he worked at Long John Silvers, someone came in and robbed the place and pointed a gun at his head.
My favorite from good news is Blame it on the Tetons
My favorite song off GNFPWLBN is "The Good Times Are Killing Me". Such a fantastic song. Melts my heart.
because the Jonas Brothers can burn in hell and I would take a bullet for Wayne Coyne. I also prefer older Modest Mouse. Also, I am of the female gender. I think that guys listen to less than superb music just as much as girls.
And Black Cadillacs is a great song, easily my favorite from the album. Or This Devil's Workday
its a stereotype that fits into well over half the populate of teenaged girls and young adult women.
My first was Good People and like I do with every band I hear for the first time I look up all their stuff and with Mouse of course I was hooked. I also look up what the individuals in the band also listen to and that introduces me to new music. Like Brock had mentioned Frank Black and The Silver Jews which for their own sound is good. Never get stuck in one genre of music. There is so much out there to soak up. I particularly like the howls of Brock's voice. And although I am a Girl and a Mom I can still appreciate great music when I hear it. And also because of the kids my mind can be numb so I might not have such witty statements has you guys so I might just add a yeah what he said.
girls (especially moms) have trouble with music. Thats why girls dont listen to the same thing as guys. We have modest mouse, they have metro station. We have The Flaming Lips, they have the Jonas Brothers.
my mom HATES old modest mouse, she says it sounds like stray dogs howling.
i think that may be what i love about it.
was Gravity Rides Everything. I heard it when I was maybe in 3rd grade. Didnt buy the album until maybe 2 years ago though.
Yeah, I admit that Float On was the first song I heard by them, but then I looked them up on wiki, listened to Dashboard and was like "This band is pretty good." Then I read up on them and heard they were better back in the day, so I bought Lonesome Crowded and the rest is history.
I still think the new stuff is awesome. Different, but still awesome.
I hope you have taken the time to listen to their older stuff. It is much more heart felt in my opinion
Mine too.
