Thank you so much for making Montreal one of your tourdates. I really hope I get to meet you guys, your music is my biggest influence on my own music. I really look up to you guys! I'm buying my tickets tommorow at 12PM, first day that they're being sold!
I'm from Kingston and cannot believe Modest Mouse is coming to play in my hometown.. the day I have to leave on a trip to Peru! Gah! But I will not miss them on their tour as the music really is too absolutely incredible to miss! Traveling to Montreal to see what I consider one of the most unique sounding, lively, talented and gifted bands to make music in the all the years I've listened to music.
Alright, i love this band... but tonight the sound was awful... felt pretty much like a 3rd grade rehearsal! Not only that... but the band didn't seem to be able to get the crowd going... everyone was looking at each other during the songs! I'll keep better memories of their last show we went too in 2007 at the same venue... Needless to say, we left before the end fairly disapointed by one of our favorite band...
Put aside all the jockey type fans that were punching each other and the drama that follows I think tonight's show was great. It had energy and although it seemed like Isaac's mic was acting up they didn't let it stop them. The entire experience was authentic and raw, which I loved. Live the past reviews by others I have seen them twice now and I think that trying to compare shows is so subjective. There are to many variables (not related to the music) that can make it seem lesser of a performance. Every time I see them live it gives me creative inspiration to write even more music. This was a night to remember. Thank You.
Postscript: If this sounds like a "3ed grade rehearsal" (which is stated in a past review) to you what the f*** would a really "3ed grade rehearsal" sound like? This is such an unwarranted and unjust comment.
I drove 6 hours from Connecticut to see this show (I know that sounds insane, but I've also got family in Montreal) and it was totally worth it. The band played wonderfully despite the sound problems, and the crowd, from where I was, seemed to be loving it. There were people crowd surfing pretty much every other song. It was wonderfully insane. Can't wait to see these guys live again.
Drove from Ottawa to attend the show with my son and friends from Montreal!
Despite some sound glitch, the band was great, discussing the setlist based on the mood and the crowd The Metropolis is always a nice place to attend bands!
Missed The Boat was the last song, I will always remember this song from the Apple Computer video contest!
In an interview with Bridge School News Benefit in October which I found on Bytesland search engine Isaac Brock was asked if there was a new album in the works and a release date and he responded, "Uh, we’re writing, yes, but really slow. We mainly get together and end up hanging out, and half the time nothing get’s done. So uh, 90% of the time nothing really get’s done. So, six months, which is unrealistic, we have no idea." Since the interview, no information has surfaced on a new album.

Nice information, many thanks to the author. It is incomprehensible to me now, but in general, the usefulness and significance is overwhelming. Thanks again and good luck! Iphones for Cash

A Long Drive
I'm driving up from Vermont to see this concert. Already booked a hotel for two nights, and am going to enjoy the fine comforts of Canada!
Crapiest show ever!
