I was so happy they opened with Satin In a Coffin, oh my god. The show was so energetic, I got there at 6 in the morning and was totally worth it. I loved World at Large, when Isaac was attacking the guitar sounded so amazing, felt like I was in a bubble of sound.
Whale Song was definitely the best way to end it, I went ape shit, :3, I always love it when he yells into the pick ups!
This was by far the most amazing show Iv ever seen in my life. Not only modest mouse was unbelievable but the crowd and pavillion was too. It was a great place to see a show. The set list was amazing and the whole band sounded great. In my eyes Dramamine, Here it comes, and The Whale song were the highlights of the show but it was a great. Deffinatly worth the 8 hour car ride up. Cant wait to see them again
Thanks andrewtrice for getting that set list down, I was having a hell of a time remembering it.
This show, my first live concert, was so wonderfully spectacular that I can't really describe it. I was screaming my head off almost the whole time. I think the whale song was the perfect ending (never seen or heard of Isaac singing into the pick-ups of his guitar...AMAZING). Also, he really beats the hell out of that wammy bar in that song...mind-blowing to see and hear...but my absolute favorite song they did that night was Doin the Cockroach, just the energy of it. The volume of the rocking blew my face into the back of my skull.
I believe on the song Here It Comes they had a harpsichord on stage. I also believe that when they played Dramamine they ended the song by switching to Life Like Weeds and the "strings to be pulled" refrain.
