Dude, Y'all kicked a** when you came down to Stubb's in March. Ive been going to your shows since July 26 when you came down to Stubb's in 2003
"The Whale Song" is totally BA! There is some thing about it that just makes a soul want to scream! Dose anyone know how i could get the March 4 2009 concert?
Alot of my friends think im weird, they laugh at me for still buying music. It's a weird thing i suppose, i just think artist should be paid their respective royalties. anyhoo, when buying an album, i get nervous, not sure if it's going to satisfy the idea built up around it in my head.
So, when i heard Modest Mouse, my favorite of bands, has released a new ep, I hesitated to buy, but curiosity and loyalty took the better of me, and y'know, those towers were built justly, it's a fantastic piece of machinery these guys have released. It has everything i loved about their old albums...lyrically speaking, with a combination of their new albums...acoustically speaking, it's everything that is and was.....i recommend it to all.
No One's First and You're Next is a mixed bag. Satellite Skin is akin to Float On and Dashboard, and a good jumping off point for the EP. Its a good rock song with catchy lyrics (by masterful Issac) that easily tops any mainstream rock. Next song Guilty Cocker Spaniels brings in the listener more into the EP with Issac's quick witted singing and fast tempo. With Autumn Beds it is easy to get lost in the banjo. This song shifts the whole EP into new level, and hopefully Modest Mouse learns from this relaxed song. Its a great move from their usual raw and intense songs. Whale Song is very dark sounding and its chords have a vein in the album The Moon & Antarctica. Though the song seems to last a little to long the warbling guitars. Perpetual Motion Machine with its stomping feet and rolling notes makes for a very great listen. Modest Mouse is at some of its best with this experimental song. Love the Dirty Dozen Brass MM needs to bring them back. The EP takes a dive with History Sticks To Your Feet. Its not a bad song just seems like a filler. The theme behind the song is a very interesting one, but it seems little uninspired for MM. Now King Rat is the jewel of this EP. Modest Mouse went all out with this song. Yelling, gurgling and bombastic. This is once again a shift in MM's playing. While its seems very random, raw like This is a Long Drive For Nothing to Think About only refined. Awesome song. The last song I've Got it All (Most) has the EP end weak. Its not as weak as History. The song is very pop. It just does not work all the way though.
While a good EP it does not match Everywhere and His Nasty Parlor Tricks. This EP comes recommended!!
Can't wait till MM comes back to Philly, I was @ the show @ the Festivil Peer and your live music sounds as good as the cd if not better. I got my girlfriend into your music and now she wants to see MM live! The best show I've been to, gr8 mix of old and new songs. I love the steel guitar two drummers ant the accasional horn. Def keep that style alive (totally different sound) Hopefully I will catch the next local show,YALL ROCK!!!
I enjoyed every little bit part of it and I will be waiting for the new updates. I am very much pleased with the contents you have mentioned. download free filme

Good stuff as per usual, thanks. I do hope this kind of thing gets more exposure.
